As you might have heard by now, Mercenary is indeed writing a new album! Martin and I met up in our studio yesterday, and we recorded some vocals for one of the new song sketches, and I have to say that I am very pleased with the result.

I had a lot of ideas with me when I came in to the studio, and together we made them rise to a whole other level! Martin is the perfect wing-man, and his ideas really made everything fit together so well, it was really cool to be in this creative process once again, and not in any way feel incapable to communicate or get your ideas on the table, it is such a relaxing and nice process so far. 

Martin and Jakob have been working hard these last couple of months, stitching together different ideas and working on the songs, a few riffs have been put on the table from yours truly, some more successful than others, ha ha, but these guys have created, once again, some ball-breaking, face-smashing, skin-piercing, KILLER riffs, and I can’t wait to get to work on each and every one of the songs!

Peter has also been laying down some drums, and I can assure you that he means BUSINESS! \m/

During the next couple of days we will be meeting up again, and in the meantime I will be writing lyrics like crazy, and doing some vocal lines! This one my friends, will NOT be an album you will forget anytime soon!

Things are really starting to take shape with the new songs, and I am slowly starting the process of writing lyrics. I love this process, It’s a a great therapeutic process for me, that allows me to process a lot of the emotions I have build up inside of me.

The past year since the release of “METAMORPHOSIS” has been nothing less than amazing! We have toured our asses off, and met so many amazing people, and I am truly grateful for the warm welcome we have had from fans all over the world. I feel very strongly that the constellation we have right now in the band, is stronger than ever, and we have only just begun to explore the boundaries of what we can achieve with this line-up.   

Releasing “METAMORPHOSIS” we were facing a lot of expectations, and we knew that a lot of people out there were going to compare the album to the previous albums from the old line-up (of course) and things have changed a lot since we released “Architect of Lies”, but the Mercenary essence is still there, and we look forward to release the next album, now that people have “METAMORPHOSIS” to compare it to.

The next couple of months will be filled with A LOT of work for us, we will be keeping busy and making sure that we write the best album possible for you guys!

My friends!

I have been talking about it before, and now I am finally able to shed some light on some of my other interesting projects. As a musician I have always found the need to experiment a lot with my music, and therefore I have now teamed up with a very highly respected Danish DJ, he has several hit roaming the danish dance floors, and we are currently writing what will be the first (EVER) dance track featuring yours truly!!! :)

I am very exited to finally fulfill this dream, I mean, who of us have not been to a Club late at night and thought “Damn, I could do better than that”! And NOW I will!! 

So prepare guys and girls!! The new “KING” of the clubs is about to be born \M/ !!

2012 will be a wonderful year indeed!
